Public Notification of
Nondiscrimination
In Vocational, Career and Technology
Education Programs
1. Roby CISD offers career and
technology education programs in Vocational Agriculture, Vocational Career
and Family Science, Vocational Computer Applications. Admission to these
programs is based on interest and aptitude, age appropriateness, class
space available, and class scheduling.
2. It is the
policy of Roby CISD not to discriminate on the basis of race, color,
national origin, sex, or disability in its vocational programs, services,
or activities as required by Title VI of the Civil rights Act of 1964, as
amended; Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972; and Section 504
of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. It is the policy of Roby
CISD to provide a free, appropriate education to all students consisting
of regular and special education and related aides and services in career
and technology programs that are designed to meet individual educational
needs of disabled persons as adequately as the needs of non-disabled
persons are met and are based upon adherence to provisions set forth in 34
CFR 104.33-104.36; 34 CFR 104.31-104.40; (see also standards under V-C,
V-D, V-E, V-F, V-G, and V-H).
3. It is the
policy of Roby CISD not to discriminate on the basis of race, color,
national origin, sex, disability, or age in its employment practices as
required by Title VI of the Civil rights Act of 1964, as amended; Title IX
of the Education Amendments of 1972; the Age Discrimination Act of 1975,
as amended; and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.
4. Roby CISD will
take steps to assure that lack of English language skills will not be a
barrier to admission and participation in all educational and vocational
programs.
